East Point once served as an industrial powerhouse in the northern portion of the state. The community was the final stop along the Atlanta & West Point Railroad, which gave the city the moniker by which it is now known. A new shopping center, Camp Creek Marketplace, is one notable addition to modern East Point. This retail center draws shoppers from across the region, with its myriad of unique stores and the cinema metroplex.
East Point offers an assortment of residential housing options, including historic homes and modern apartments. Jefferson Park is particularly attractive to residents, thanks to its collection of World War II era homes. Many other residential areas are scattered through East Point’s four wards.
