Sovereign Realty + Management CEO Karen G. Hatcher Makes Strides in Real Estate Industry with IREM® GA Chapter Leadership Role

Karen G. Hatcher, CPM®  current CEO of Sovereign Realty + Management, was recently announced that she has been appointed the Vice President of Membership on IREM® GA Chapter’s Executive Leadership Team. Not only is this a significant milestone in her career, but Hatcher will also be serving as a member of the 2024 Board of Directors for the esteemed organization.

IREM® (Institute of Real Estate Management) is an international institute governed by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) that works tirelessly to advance real estate management worldwide. This appointment emphasizes Hatcher’s commitment to not only her work at Sovereign Realty + Management but also to the real estate community at large.

Karen’s journey with IREM® began in 2011, leading and participating in various committees. As she progressed within the organization, she received numerous accolades such as Student of the Year by IREM® Georgia Chapter, CPM® Candidate of the Year in 2014, and the prestigious Presidential Award in 2015. These accomplishments highlight her dedication and her continued pursuit of excellence in her field.

Hatcher credits her achievements to her mentors and her educational background from Georgia Technical Institute and Georgia State University, where she studied Property Management & Real Estate Analysis.“Dr. Debbie still mentors me to this day. I am grateful for the family of IREM® Past Presidents and members that have poured into me over the years: Shannon Longino, CPM®, Velda Simpson, CPM®, and Michael McCreary, CPM®,” Hatcher shares.

Throughout her career, Karen has skillfully managed multiple commercial and residential properties while focusing on maximizing their asset value. Her dedication to staying current on industry trends and leadership positions is evident through her recent service as the 2023 Immediate Past President of the Atlanta REALTORS Association.
